Acquisition of commercial
Assignment: (6 mths full time)
12 weeks process to undertake due diligence on series of services with over 60 LAs, focusing on potential to turn around, fit with incoming charity and current, whole service delivery (people, finance, estates, assets, contract novation, negotiation)
Outcome:
Over 700 staff secured roles, no disruption to over 90 services for parents (early years), 60+ new leads nurtured, services taken and delivered to time & budget.
Closure of services
Assignment: (3 mths full time)
Lead the programme of closures and TUPE for approx 200 staff, 50+ services and potential to impact 50k children across a county.​
Outcome:
Designed a moving on plan for staff, coaching for managers, creating clear and concise communication plans, offer time and options for discussion in line with relevant employment due diligence. Services closed with minimal disruption and all but two staff got the outcomes they had opted for.
Implementation of new service contract
Assignment: (4mths full time)
Following successful contract win, support large national charity to transfer current services incl. staff, contracts and stakeholders.
Outcome:
Created comprehensive implementation plan, KPIs, measures, monitored risks and issues, comms plan, stakeholder analysis, estates, financial planning and development and supported transition.
Review of adult service provision
Assignment: (6 mths 4/5 days a week)
Six month project overseeing review, recommendations and quality improvement processes for series of commissioned residential and supported living services for adults and YP with LD
Outcome:
Several iterations of improved financial projection along with implementation plan to close 3 of 9 services, creating financial savings, improving outcomes for service users, retaining staff, reducing agency.
Design of Income Generation Strategy
Assignment: (3 days per week, 6 mths)
Review current fundraising activity in a large local mental health charity completing SWOT and business analysis on each workstream. Make recommendations on approach, resource and future delivery. Support difficult closures, cultural change and improve unrestricted income position.
Outcome:
Income Gen strategy and forecast completed, KPIs, milestones and action plan created, implemented and handed to team to track against income targets.
Cost Improvement Programme Management
Assignment: (bank contract)
Undertake programme management (6 months) for a large, complex cost improvement and reduction project for a large NHS mental health trust.
Outcome:
Programme plan introduced with all disciplines, core stakeholder plans identified to achieve reductions incl. working with clinical teams to reduce medical & nursing agency usage and costs.
